Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process for the BPSC AEDO recruitment consists solely of a Written Examination (Objective). There will be no interview.

Key Exam Rules
Negative Marking: There is a provision of 1/3 (one-third) negative marking for every wrong answer.
Qualifying Paper: The General Language paper is qualifying in nature. Candidates must secure a minimum of 30% marks separately in both General English and General Hindi (i.e., minimum 30% in Part-1 and minimum 30% in Part-2). Failure to achieve this minimum will result in the non-evaluation of the other papers.
Minimum Qualifying Marks (for Merit Papers):
General Category: 40%
Backward Class: 36.5%
Extremely Backward Class: 34%
SC / ST / Women / Disabled: 32%
Salary and Pay Scale 2025
The post of Assistant Education Development Officer offers a stable government salary structure:
Starting Pay Level: Level-5
Basic Pay: ₹29,200/-
The pay is subject to revision and includes various allowances (like DA, HRA, TA) as per the pay revision policies of the State Government. The estimated in-hand salary after all allowances and deductions often ranges between ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month.
